Standard Cabinet Signs, also known as lightbox signs, are illuminated box-style signage systems widely used across commercial properties in the United States. These signs feature a structured aluminum cabinet body with a translucent illuminated face that projects light forward for high daytime and nighttime visibility.
Available in standard square, rectangular, or round shapes, cabinet signs are engineered for durability, serviceability, and long-term outdoor exposure. With a minimum depth of 2.5 inches, the cabinet housing provides sufficient internal space for LED modules and electrical components.
The sign face is illuminated from within using energy-efficient LED modules. Light passes through the acrylic face panel, ensuring uniform brightness and clear brand presentation.
Construction & Serviceability
Standard cabinet signs include a trim cap frame, which secures the acrylic face panel and allows easy access for maintenance. Because they are serviceable, the face panel can be removed to access internal LED modules or electrical components when required.
The cabinet body is fabricated from aluminum for corrosion resistance and structural strength.
Mounting Method
These signs are installed using a flush mount configuration, meaning the cabinet mounts directly against the building façade. Electrical wiring passes through the wall into the building interior, requiring rear wall access for safe connection.
